Phil Krieger of Balclutha recently purchased a Katipo 890L sprayer to handle his liquid fertiliser application on his 109ha property. Phil specced his unit with a 100m hose reel, 19m Rosette boomless applicator and electric on/off control for ease of use.

"I had been keeping an eye on the farming papers noticing a few different brands of Sprayers but the Katipo works well for me."

"Why the Katipo?" Phil was asked. "Nice and solid, easy to get on and off my 130HP tractor, & tank size is excellent for my rolling-steep country. I will be spraying 3-400ha of Progibb and SeaweedN per 12mth period and while I have only sprayed 50ha since late August it is really simple to use. The boomless applicator is good for my terrain where I can be anywhere between 6-14km." Phil also purchased the Raven Cruiser GPS so he can apply more accurately and keep his records up to date.
