Andrew Ferguson has been out on the ranch all his life, now running 1600 cattle he knew there must be a better way to feed their hay. Watch this latest episode of Out There in Hustler Country to see what Andrew discovered...
Any chance Andrew got to be on his aunt and uncles farm while growing up, has to lead to his success on his ranch today. See what he has to say about life on a ranch with his Chainless X5000 round and square bale processor. Taking every opportunity to get out on the ranch be it in the summer holidays or snow days, helping rake hay and anything else he could get his hands on, Andrew runs a very successful cow-calf operation.
Where Andrew grew up using Hay Buster bale processors, tractors with front-end loaders and hay unrollers, they have now replaced them all with the Chainless X5000 bale feeders.
Why replace the ordinary feeding system?
The Chainless X5000 is a double bale feeder which has many great features that benefit farmers and ranchers such as self-loading, suitable for feeding out any hay bale, round or square, dry hay, balage, straw and maximizing feed use are just a few to name.
"After running it for a few months,
we decided to go ahead and purchase two more"
Andrew has found this Machine to be user-friendly, time efficient and a major labour saving. Which are all the things we strive to achieve for the rancher who invests in our innovation, saving their precious time and money every day?
The Chainless X5000 is the most versatile bale feeder, it will feed out any bale round & square. Feeding out the majority of their bales on the Ranch as squares it was important to find a machine that would be able to feed them out the same way as if you were flaking them by hand, which the Chainless does. This allows them to be able to choice feed the cattle, saving on wastage and mess in the paddock and down the road.

With the Chainless X5000 being low maintenance, no troublesome feed chains or bearings that would need replacing costing you money and time is a key advantage for reliability and a quieter operation. Andrew was impressed and had this to say.
